The Process of the Scar/ Scab

The Process of the Scab/Scar

I had a scab that I didn’t like the appearance of, and I kept picking with it in hopes of making the scarred area blend in with the skin around it. That scab drove me nuts! It was darker, tougher but more sensitive, and noticeable than the surrounding skin. I kept picking that hardened area off thinking that it could help but was slowing down the process.

I well know that a scab is part of the healing process. It is formed when the skin is damaged and is the result of the repair.

Some of us have emotional, physical, or spiritual scars/scabs that we wish we could hide, cover-up, or even make it disappear! Some of us spend a lifetime of picking and pulling off the scab that is there to protect wounded areas. What we must understand is that the scar/scab appeared because there was a damaged area that needed to be repaired. It is part of the healing process, but we keep picking at it causing the process to keep starting all over again. An interruption in the process often causes the wound to become deeper, heal slower, or become infected. The Word says, “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD.” JEREMIAH 30:17. Although your wounded areas appear darkener, tougher, sensitive, and noticeable, allow it to heal.

“Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise.” Jeremiah 17:14

Carrying a LIE

I saw a documentary of a woman who believed she was pregnant. Her belly grew to full term, and she experienced emotional, hormonal and physical symptoms of pregnancy. She believed it to the point that it manifested in the physical. She appeared pregnant but was carrying a lie. Some of us have grown full term carrying a lie. The lies of not being good enough, not loved, sick, stuck, defeated and so on… The Enemy has made us believe, carry, protect, and nurture these lies. He is a liar (John 8:44). Today, I pray termination over the lies that we carry. I pray that all negative seeds, empty sac, and after birth be aborted and healing be applied to damaged areas by the love of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. “Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” 1 Peter 5:7 AMP #LifebySabrina

Know Who You Are!

A children's movie from the early '90s portrayed a puppy who was separated from his family and taken in by a family of bunnies. The bunny (rabbit) family made him a part of their family. The puppy lived, played, ate like, and acted like the bunnies. He began to mimic the behavior of his new bunny family until the other animals in the forest began to call him the 'bunny-puppy'.  The puppy began to get weak and sick. The bunny family took him to the doctor and discovered that the problem was that he needed to be nourished and cared for as the puppy that he was.  You may become temporarily displaced, off track, or confused about your identity, destiny, or calling. You may have spent years functioning as someone else, something else, or somewhere else.  When you Know Who You Are, you will begin to live YOUR life. Remind yourself of who you are.   I am loved (Romans 8:38,39). God has a plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11). I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psa...
