There's Something Special About You
There's something special about you
And if I know it, Satan knows it too
Your beautiful smile and sparkling eyes identifies you
As a child of God who has strayed away, lost and confused
You're special and Satan knows it
So he befriends you with his many tricks
By letting you cry on his shoulder and saying, I know God has left you all alone
Making you feel that you're nothing but a filthy sinner with no one to call upon
Then he strokes you with his hands to comfort you in your dismay
Penetrating you with feeling of guilt, unworthiness and shame
Consumed with sin, you walk around, longing to go back home
Then Satan tries to convince you to stay, saying, you're too far gone
After all you've done, you really think that your Father still cares?
Then Satan reminds you of the relationship that the two of you share
He reminds you of how he was there when God turned His back on you
And reminisced of how he caressed you in his arms during hard times and carried you through
He even spoke of how you should hate the Father for leaving you this way
Saying, you're too young to talk to Him, besides you've forgotten how to pray
You've been with me for quite some time- were one of a kind
Ive given you friends, fine things and have shown you some really good times
You made it to church and could still hear Satan whispering through a few of the members saying:
"I cant believe who's here, down there, kneeling at the alter praying"
As a last attempt, as the Pastor opens the doors of the church
Satan says, You will only embarrass yourself, Stop now before you get hurt!
Your Pastor, old friends and family are here- cant you see
They know what you've done, where you're been and feel that you are unworthy
Knowing all of this, it just wouldn't look good walking down the isles of the church bawling
Then the Pastor says,
No matter what you've done, come as you are!
